教材分析 The unit is focused on the students’ reading and writing, the vocabulary is also very necessary.
教学目标 To get information from the reading material about William Shakespeare.
To write sentences about events in your life.
教学重点 Enable the students to read material containing the past simple “did”.
Enable the students to write sentences with the past simple “did”.
Memorize the new words and phrases in the unit.

Ask the students to listen to paragraph1 and answer the questions above it. Offer help if anyone needs. (Activity 1) View the questions and listen to  the paragraph 1 then answer the questions.
Check the answers with their partners. Listening and reading
Ask the students to read the paragraph 2 and 3 and fill in the table on their own. Offer help if anyone needs.
Check the answers when they finish. Read the passage again and do activity 3. After it , check with partners.  Understanding the history of

Ask the students to read the paragraph 4 and 5 and answer questions Skim the paragraph 4 and 5 and answer questions Reading strategy: skim
Explain the useful sentences in the passage. And ask them to follow the tape. Then ask some students to read it loudly if necessary.  Do activity 5 Find out the sentences that they don’t understand.. It’s better to solve the problem by themselves.
Read the passage loudly. And do activity 2. Fast reading
Show the timeline for Shakespeare. And ask them to use the key words to try to retell the passage by their own words. Use the key words “ be born , die , finish school , marry , move to , open” and try to retell the passage by using their own words. Orally practice
1. Ask them to put the words and phrases in the correct order of time.
2. Show the right answers.
3. Tell them to read activity 6 and write sentences about events in their life (activity 7)
4. ask your friend some questions and make a report Check their answers.
